Visual Guidelines, Illustrations, and Animation for Matchmove Pay's Redesigned Website

MatchMove is a powerful, out-of-the-box payment solution, which enables companies to launch branded payments platform within minutes. It is the winner for the category Best Payments Innovation 2019 in the 4th Payments and Cards Awards held in Mumbai. As part of their product redesign, I've been asked to create visual assets such as illustrations, icons and animations for their new website.

Extended Palette For Visuals

As per the requirements, the visuals need to be vibrant, unique and clean. The available brand palette won't suffice the need, as the 4 colours are a bit earthy and less exciting. To create vibrancy and contrast there is a need to introduce more colours that can be used subtly without deviating from the branding, yet giving some energy to the visuals. Based on this, 5 more colours and their tints has been introduced to the existing palette.

Usage Proportions

White has been chosen as the dominant colour to bring in simplicity and tidiness. Tints of yellow & red as secondary colours, so as to emphasise the brand presence. The additional colours are used in a minimal amount, so that there isn't much deviation from the brand palette. Even though the grey is from the brand palette, it has been suppressed largely to reduce dullness.

Characters.

All characters follow minimal detailing, similar geometry and body proportions. Some common characteristics include absence of eyes, limited usage of colours (maximum of 3 colours per person with primary as white) etc.

Scenes In Motion.

All the header illustrations are animated to give some life to the scenes.
These are 3-4 seconds long animations that loop seamlessly and infinitely.

Smaller sized illustrations without any texture or motion, and with lesser elements. These are placed in small description sections in the website to support the text.
